Not only do these bug crayons make a great gift buy they keep my kids busy for about 3 hours. Which if you are like me keeping them busy is priceless as our friends at Visa and master card would say. Any home with children has old broken crayons I needed an extra storage shed for mine about 7 boxes, buckets, bags, or bowls filled with used crayons. How we get so many is beyond my comprehension or worth my time to figure out.
I picked up this bug tray at Williams Sonoma on sale and have seen several other designs out and about. Kids just peel the paper off the crayons break them into small pieces and you pop them in the oven at 325 until melted. Let cool and becareful that kids do not touch until cool because the wax will stick to skin and you get the picture.
Not only did I recycle and save the world of extra crayon trash, Kept the kids busy, but I saved money by using these as gifts. A good day for me trying to make history misbehaving! This whole deal I am doing with the “well behaved women rarely make history” and the secret laundry pile club shh it’s a secret…and here I am recycling color crayons. What happened to the crazy fun party like rock star take up a Janis Joplin 60’s type cause making history? Its tough being a Mom living in Minnesota and frankly a bit borning. I shall have to stir up some fun drama with the Dance Mom’s.
PS as always life is short do something fabulous!
